Postgraduate programs prepared for a beginninglevel of advanced practice nursing in many special areasare provided.The TRCN College of Nursing offers courses/programsto foreign nurses and also can arrange a study visit forinternational nursing students. We have Red Cross sisternetwork with Japan, Sweden, South Korea, and alsoother international nursing education institutes which wehave annually cooperated with exchange program. ForClinical Training in Hospitalc Thai Red Cross College of Nursingexample, training of maternal and child health for prospective midwifery trainees from Lao PDR in 2010-2012. The training enhanced the students' experience and practice of their own midwifery education. Mostimportantly, this specific training also provide advance midwifery including maternal and child nursing toreaffirm the standard of care in nursing quality. TRCN, Ministry of Health Lao PDR, and Agency FrenchDevelopment (AFD) will provided invaluable support among institutes to promote nursing professionsthrough the international collaboration.Previous Projects1. Family, School, and Community Participation in School Based-Nutrition Health PromotionProjectTRCN Project team focused on the prevention of youth obesity. School based health promotion has becomeincreasingly important as childhood obesity rates continue to rise. The FPS Project has implemented onthe Fiscal year of 2009-2010 which is a TRCN academic service to school children who was studying inprimary and secondary school in Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA). The project has goodparticipation between family and school to promote and prevent obesity in children.In Fiscal Year of 2009, project team has provided health education (HE) to 1,000 school children in fourBMA schools. The HE programs trained and companion with informative“Youth Nutritional healthpromotion-YNHP manual”for student leaders, school nurses, class teachers, and especially their parents.The result of program found that students have modified to better nutrition behavior, exercise behavior, andimproved their nutritional status.
